报告摘要:
In the presence of truly random variables(noise), periodic orbits technically no longer exist, so that studying densities of trajectories (Fokker-Planck approach) is preferred to singletrajectories (Langevin approach). In this framework, one looks at `periodicorbits' of the Fokker-Planck equation, meaning (local) solutions, oreigenfunctions. This study follows three main lines of investigation: 1) thesearch for solutions of the time-varying Lyapunov equation in a chaotic phasespace of continuous-time dynamical systems; 2) the problem of the convergenceof noisy cycle expansions in discrete-time dynamical systems (maps); 3) theapplicability of perturbation theory to the Fokker-Planck operator in noisychaotic maps. I shall discuss past achievements andfuture directions.
报告人简介:
Domenico Lippolis is currently a lecturer at the Faculty of Science of Jiangsu University. He received is BS and MS in Physics from the University of Bologna (Italy) in 2003, with a thesis on periodic orbit theory of chaotic strings, under the supervision of C. P. Dettmann. Domenico then moved to the Georgia Institute of Technology in the U.S, and in 2010 he got a PhD in Physics, by working on the resolution of a chaotic system with back ground noise with P. Cvitanovic. Successively (2011-2013), He has been therecipient of the NSFC Grant for International Young Scientists in 2014-15 and in 2018.
