报告摘要:
Nanoplasmonics studies the nanoscale light-matter interaction and applies the enhanced electromagnetic response of metallic nanostructure resonators in a wide range of applications such asnanoscale optoelectronics, biosensing, bioimaging, and energy harvesting. Of our particular interest here is the recently developed nonlinear nanoplasmonics researchthat provides tremendous opportunities for the advancement of biophotonics and the development of biochemical imaging and sensing. In this talk, I willdiscuss how the nonlinear nanoplasmonicsconcepts and nanostructures can be used for the development of ultrasensitive molecular nanorulers for biosensing as well as highly efficient near-infrared multiphoton probes for bioimaging. I believe that the synergistic combination of nonlinear nanoplasmonics and biophotonics research willprovide a new paradigm forhigh-resolution, high-sensitivity molecular imaging, sensing and recognition.
