摘要：

We give general and semi-finite gap solutions to classical Whittaker-Hill equation. This extended the classical work of Ince (1923). We shall first introduce various physical origins of the Whittaker-Hill equation, then we shall show how the spectral distribution problem is related to complex oscillation theory of linear differential equations with periodic coefficients from Nevanlinna 's value distribution theory.
